ATTEND MEETINGS
After joining the Las Vegas Chapter of NACE, you will get the most out of your membership by attending meetings regularly. Not only does the chapter offer educational programs throughout the year, but opportunities to network and establish yourself in the local professional community.
JOIN A COMMITTEE
Participation on one of our committees offers the chance to help in a variety of ways including fundraising efforts, community service, and programs. Your voice and efforts help contribute to the success of our chapter and working for continuous improvement. This is a great way to learn the culture of the organization and stepping stone to joining the Board of Directors. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
As a member of the Las Vegas Chapter of NACE and regularly attending meetings, you will surely have met our Board Members who have a variety of roles in supporting our organization. The Board of Directors is comprised of members who assist in planning our monthly programs, fundraising, community outreach, and promoting our industry. APPOINTED POSITIONS
In addition to the elected positions, the Executive Board will appoint positions to assist with special projects or activities that support the success of the organization.
EXECUTIVE BOARD
Presiding over the Board of Directors if the Executive Board which is comprised of the Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President(s), President and Immediate Past President. These individuals help guide the organization and represent the Las Vegas Chapter on the National Level.
LAS VEGAS CHAPTER OF NACE ELECTION PROCESS
Board of Directors
Beginning in 2020, in accordance with the local bylaws, the Board of Directors is elected by membership for one year term. If you are interested in finding out more information about positions on the Board, please utilize the links below and speak to President or one of the Executive Board Members for more information.
Executive Board
Elections for the Executive Board takes place every two years for President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. The President will serve an additional term as Immediate Past President which is not an elected position.
Nominations
Nominations are accepted begining in August through September 15 for elected positions. Candidates must submit the nomination form with a photo with all information completed to be considered for their name to be placed on the ballot. In the event that a position becomes vacant prior to the beginning of a new term, elections may be hosted on an off year.
Election Process
Candidates' photos and qualifications will be posted on the website, included in the newsletter, and sent via email to all current members to review by September 30 for consideration and review. Elections will take place the second week of October via electronic ballot to all current members and announced by October 30 to be inducted at the November installation event. The elections are presided over by the Immediate Past President as an impartial body and not running for an additional position.
NATIONAL ELECTIONS
Become a Delegate for National Elections
Each year, the Las Vegas NACE Chapter nominates delegates to represent the membership to help elect our National Board of Directors. A call for delegates takes place each summer and all professional members are eligible to be nominated for the role. The Las Vegas Chapter membership then votes for the delegates to participate in the process.

NATIONAL COMMITTEES
Join a National Committee
For those who are interested in impacting our organization on a National level, join one of the Standing Committees. Work with Catering and Event professionals from across the country in a variety of positions including the Chapter Leaders Council (CLC), Certification, Education, Finance, Investment, Global Community Task Force, Governance, and Awards.
